Unlike mass-produced alternatives, our wooden tableware, serving trays, chopping boards, and home décor carry the warmth of human hands — no two pieces are exactly alike. Are all products handcrafted?
Yes, absolutely. Every product in our collection — from our wooden serving trays and platters to our chopping boards, coasters, and organizers — is handcrafted by our artisan community. We do not use mass manufacturing processes. Each piece is shaped, finished, and quality-checked by hand.
Where are your products made?
All Maajeesa products are proudly made in India by skilled local artisans. We work closely with craftspeople who have inherited generations of woodworking expertise, ensuring that every handmade wooden product reflects authentic Indian craftsmanship.
What type of wood do you use?
We use a curated selection of premium, food-safe hardwoods including Waghai, Oak, Acacia, Sheesham (Indian Rosewood), Mango wood, and Teak— chosen for their natural beauty, durability, and sustainability. Each wood type brings its own unique grain pattern, colour tone, and character to our handcrafted wooden kitchenware and tableware.
Are your products food-safe?
Yes. All Maajeesa wooden tableware, chopping boards, serving trays, and platters are finished with food-safe oils and waxes that are non-toxic and safe for contact with food. We do not use harmful chemical lacquers or synthetic coatings on any surface that comes into contact with food.
Product Care & Maintenance
How do I clean wooden tableware?
Hand wash your Maajeesa wooden products with lukewarm warm water and a mild dish soap. Use a soft cloth or sponge — avoid abrasive scrubbers. After washing, dry immediately with a clean towel and allow to air dry completely before storing. Never soak wooden products in water.
Can wooden products be washed with water?
Yes, but with care. A quick rinse or hand wash with Luke warm water is perfectly fine. Avoid prolonged soaking or leaving wooden products submerged in water, as this can cause the wood to swell, warp, or crack over time.
Are they dishwasher safe?
No. We strongly recommend against placing any Maajeesa wooden products in the dishwasher. The intense heat, steam, and prolonged water exposure in dishwashers can cause irreversible warping, cracking, and damage to the wood's natural finish. Always hand wash only.
How often should I oil wooden products?
We recommend oiling your wooden tableware and kitchenware once a month with food-grade mineral oil or beeswax-based wood conditioner. If you use your products frequently, oil them every 2–3 weeks. Regular oiling keeps the wood nourished, prevents drying and cracking, and maintains the natural lustre of your handcrafted wooden serveware.
How do I prevent cracking or warping?
To keep your Maajeesa wooden products in pristine condition: always dry them immediately after washing, oil them regularly, store them in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources, and never leave them submerged in water. Avoid placing them near stovetops, ovens, or in direct sunlight for extended periods.
What should I avoid when using wooden products?
Please avoid: dishwashers, microwaves, prolonged soaking in water, direct exposure to high heat or open flames, harsh chemical cleaners or bleach, and storing in damp or humid environments. Following these simple guidelines will ensure your handcrafted wooden homeware lasts for years.

How long does shipping take?
Standard domestic orders are typically delivered within 5–7 business days. Delivery timelines may vary depending on your location and product availability. You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Do you offer express delivery?

How can I track my order?
Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email and/or SMS with your tracking number and a link to track your shipment in real time. You can also log into your Maajeesa account to view your order status at any time.
What happens if my order is delayed?
While we strive to deliver every order on time, occasional delays may occur due to logistics or high demand periods. If your order is significantly delayed beyond the estimated delivery window, please contact our support team and we will investigate and assist you promptly.

Returns & Replacements
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 24 hours of delivery for products that are unused, in their original condition, and in original packaging. Customised products are non-returnable.
What if my item arrives damaged?
We take great care in packaging every order, but if your product arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with clear unboxing video and photographs of the damage and your order number. We will arrange a replacement or resolution as quickly as possible.
How do I request a replacement?
To request a replacement, email us or use the Contact Us form on our website with your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photographs. Our team will review your request and respond within 1–2 business days.
Are customized products returnable?
Customised and personalised products are made specifically for you and are therefore non-returnable and non-refundable, unless they arrive damaged or defective. Please review your customisation details carefully before placing your order.

Can chopping boards be used daily?
Yes! Our handcrafted wooden chopping boards are designed for everyday use. They are durable, gentle on knife edges, and naturally antimicrobial. With regular oiling and proper care, your Maajeesa chopping board will serve you beautifully for years.
Are serving trays suitable for hot food?
Our wooden serving trays are suitable for serving warm food and beverages. However, we recommend using trivets or heat-resistant mats for very hot pots, pans, or dishes directly from the stove or oven, as extreme heat can affect the wood's finish over time.
Are products heat resistant?
Our wooden products can withstand moderate warmth but are not designed for direct contact with very high heat sources. Always use a trivet or protective mat when placing hot cookware on wooden surfaces to preserve the finish and longevity of your handcrafted wooden serveware.
Can wooden products be used outdoors?
Occasional outdoor use for serving and entertaining is perfectly fine. However, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, rain, or humidity, as these conditions can accelerate drying, fading, and warping of the wood. Store your products indoors when not in use.
Will each product look exactly like the photos?
Because every Maajeesa product is individually handcrafted from natural wood, there will be slight variations in grain pattern, colour tone, and texture from piece to piece — and from the product photographs. These natural variations are a hallmark of authentic handmade wooden products and make each piece truly one of a kind.

Is the wood sustainably sourced?

Why are wood grain patterns different?
Wood is a natural material, and no two trees — or even two sections of the same tree — are identical. The unique grain patterns, knots, and colour variations you see in each Maajeesa product are entirely natural and are what give handcrafted wooden homeware its character and beauty. These are features, not flaws.
How are products finished?
Our products are finished with food-safe PU that enhance the wood's natural beauty while providing protection. The finishing process is done by hand gun, ensuring an even, premium finish on every piece.
